JBS pays $11 million ransom after cyber attack

(KYMA, KECY/ CNN) - Meat supplier JBS says it paid $11 million following the ransomware attack on their company last week.

The company says the infiltration shut down its beef processing operations, which is the largest meat processor in the world.

JBS says most of its facilities had come back online by the time it paid but decided to still pay to ensure customers faced no risk.

JBS says it doesn't think any private data got out during the attack.
