Walk a mile in their shoes
In honor of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (April 8-14), the Yuma County Victims’ Rights Committee is hosting their annual Walk-A-Mile in their shoes.
The theme for National Crime Victims’ Rights Week this year is to expand the circle and to reach all victims, with the hope that they emphasize the importance of inclusion in victim services.
Walk-A-Mile in their shoes will take off today, April 11th, at Carver Park from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
The first 100 participants will receive a free hot dog and the event is free to the public.
Crime could be anything from assault, burglary, to hate crimes and school victimization.
