Lane restrictions along Interstate 8 begin today

The Arizona Department of Transportation crews are scheduled to begin pavement improvements on the ‘North Frontage Road Pavement Improvement Project’ in the Yuma Foothills area on Tuesday, April 3.

ADOT is scheduled to work form 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and resume on Monday, April 9, through Friday, April 20.

The following restrictions will be in place while work is underway:

One lane of traffic will remain open from Fortuna Road to Foothills Boulevard with flaggers on site to direct motorists through the work zone. Temporary lane closures will be required, with reduced speeds in the construction zone. Drivers should allow extra time travel time and plan for delays while construction in underway. Drivers are also asked to use caution, obey posted speed limits and traffic control devices and use caution around construction personnel and equipment.

The project is set to be completed by summer 2018.
