The Southwest AG Summit: Field Demonstrations

The Southwest AG Summit continues to show more of the latest in agriculture for their first day of field demonstrations. Presentations began right before sunrise and continued throughout the day at Arizona Western College. This year highlighted food safety, technology, and water conservation to local growers to the future farmers of Yuma County. The Southwest AG Summit is not only an event to network but for students who have an interest in the field or who want to pursue a career in AG. “This is something that I’m really passionate about,” said Robbie Coelho, a sales district manager with Rivulis/Eurodrip. “I’ve always been involved with AG and for someone coming on campus to see all this machinery work, the mechanics, and all the technology it does for these crops- it’s a really cool thing to see.” On Thursday, the AG Summit continues at AWC with field demonstrations, panel discussions, and the Harvest Dinner to end the night at the Colorado River State Park. For the full report, watch tonight at 10 p.m. (MST).
