1 injured when truck hits tree in Yuma

One person was injured early Wednesday when a pickup truck struck a tree in Yuma, destroying the vehicle’s front end.

A man was transported to the hospital, with non-life threatening injuries, a Yuma County Sheriff’s Office official said.

The truck was northbound on Avenue B and 28th Street, near Yuma County Juvenile Court, according to YCSO. The driver attempted to make a turn and tried to avoid hitting another car when he lost control, Yuma County Sheriff’s Office official said.
