Kofa High alum graduates from Air Force basic training

U.S. Air Force Airman Gwendilyn Marin completed her basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland located in San Antonio, TX.

A 2017 Kofa High School graduate, Marin completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Once airmen complete basic training, they also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Marin is the daughter of Cecilia Zwirn of Las Vegas, Nev., and Ramon Marin-Castro of Somerton, Ariz., step-daughter of Joseph Zwirn of Las Vegas, Nev., and granddaughter of Francisca Castro of San Luis, Ariz.
