Down power lines leads to power outage
Due to down power lines, 1st Street between Avenue A and 12th Avenue was closed earlier, according to Yuma Police.
The road has re-opened.
The bicycle path that runs on the east side of the canal along Avenue A between 1st and 3rd Street is also closed.
More than 500 residents remain without power Sunday morning. The cause of the power outage is due to the down power lines, according to the APS Outage Map. The power outage was reported at 7:33 a.m. APS says they are having crews work on repairs and an estimated time of restoration is around 3:00 p.m.
The areas affected include Water Street to 10th Street and 27th Drive to 5th Avenue, according to the APS website.
