Drunken man forces unplanned landing in Tucson

Tomás Del Coro

A passenger is accused of forcing a plane to make an unscheduled landing in Tucson. Airport police say he got drunk and attacked other people on the flight.

Tucson Airport Authority police arrested 51-year-old David Broseh Tuesday night after the plane was on the ground.

It’s unclear if Broseh boarded the flight intoxicated, but officers say he appeared to be drunk during the flight. They say the plane had to land after he began fighting with other passengers.

Broseh was booked on suspicion of disorderly conduct and assault.

The flight originated in Dallas. It was headed for Los Angeles. Passengers resumed their trip after police removed Broseh from the plane.
