13 On Your Side wants to know your thoughts:

President Donald J. Trump announced today he has fulfilled yet another one of his campaign promises and supporters say he’s keeping a promise that both former Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton made but didn’t follow through on. Wednesday, the president announced that the U.S. will now recognize Jerusalem as the capitol of Israel and plans are in place to move the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem.

According to CNN, 86 countries currently have embassies in Tel-Aviv and none in Jerusalem. The Israeli Mayor praised Trump for his decision and when asked if he feared retaliation Mayor Nir Barkat told reporters that violence is nothing new and sees this as a win. Hamas has called on Palestinians to declare this Friday as a “Day of Rage” and already many protests have ignited throughout the West Bank.
