Pet Talk: Meet “Victoria” and “Deandra”

In this holiday edition of Pet Talk we meet a black cat named Victoria and a Pitbull named Deandra.

First up is Victoria, she is a beautiful black long-haired cat that was found as a stray in Yuma. With her striking eyes that change colors upon her mood, Victoria is quite the catch. Don’t let this ball of fluff fool you. She is only six pounds. She enjoys being held, but loves being played with even more. She is spayed and has been at the shelter since October.

Next we have Deandra, this tan pitbull is extremely personable and loves attention. At a sturdy 60 pounds, her favorite activity is playing catch with a tennis ball. She’s extremely energetic and would make for the perfect companion for an active family. She seems to do well with other dogs, however can get a bit overwhelmed by canines that are more on the dominant side. She is patient and is leashed trained. Deandra is spayed and has also been at the shelter since October.

If you are interested either Victoria or Deandra, you can call the Humane Society of Yuma at (928) 782-1621. They will be open tomorrow throughout the weekend and in a time of giving, what better time than now to give a shelter pet their chance at a better life.
