More than 3 million Arizonans have received one dose of COVID-19 vaccine

PHOENIX (KYMA, KECY) - State officials said more than 3 million people had received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

According to the state's coronavirus dashboard, more than 2.4 million people are fully vaccinated.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said nationally, 45% of the population have received at least one dose, and 32.8% are fully vaccinated.

On Thursday, state officials said COVID hospitalizations were once again on the rise.

The coronavirus dashboard reported 820 new coronavirus cases and 24 deaths. Bringing the total to 867,443 cases and 17,391 deaths.
