Kofa Art students win first place at Children’s Festival of the Arts

Kofa High School’s Arts program earned first place in the High School Division at the Annual Children’s Festival of the Arts on Saturday, Nov. 4th.

“I feel any success comes with planning, vision and hard work,” Kofa Art teacher Amy Seeley said. “I am so fortunate to have students who are so naturally talented. I give them the tools, but they are the ones with the imagination.”

The Children’s Festival of the Arts is a free and hands-on art experience for the whole family including entertainment, music, and demonstration by local artists, according to the Yuma Visitor’s Information Center.

The Yuma Art Center had an exhibition of outstanding youth artwork with entries from many local schools, including all local high schools.
