Yuma Veterans Day parade: time and street closures

The City of Yuma’s annual Veterans Day parade will begin at 9 a.m. this Saturday, Nov. 11th.

The parade will start at the Yuma Mesa Shopping Center and will head south down 4th Avenue. Following the parade, there will be a barbecue at American Legion Post 19 located at 2575 S. Virginia Drive.

The Yuma Police Department is advising the public that 4th Avenue will be closed from 16th Street to Catalina Drive starting at 7 a.m. and will reopen around 11:30 a.m.

If you normally use 4th Avenue or planned to use 4th Avenue this coming Saturday morning, allow yourself extra time for an alternate route.
