YPD warns community of rise in threatening and intimidating calls

The Yuma Police Department is warning the community of the rise in threatening and intimidating calls made to local businesses.

The calls are being made from a phone number from Mexico and the caller will ask for a Spanish speaker.

The caller threatens to send shooters into the business if money or other specific items are not obtained.

Both documented numbers that officials have received are 52-331-587-6990 and 526-535-309-225.
