President Trump hitting road promoting Tax Reform

President Donald J. Trump is hitting the heartland promoting his plans for Tax Reform. His plan to cut taxes was one of his platforms during his presidential run. President Trump promised to have a new tax code by the end of 2017; but, with legistlative days running out the president is pushing congress to get it done. In the 80’s President Ronald Reagan’s tax overhaul took more than a year to sort out.

President Trump’s plan varies; from cutting taxes on businesses by more than half and simplifying the tax code so that all Americans pay less taxes. The president’s opposition are fearful that the new tax code would favor the top 1 percent of the population and are still in the dark when it comes to just how the country will make up that lost revenue.
