30-year-old man arrested after smuggling $476k worth of cocaine

A 30-year-old man was arrested after attempting to smuggle cocaine through the San Luis Port of Entry this Tuesday.

Officers referred the man, who resides in Los Angeles, Calif., to secondary inspection to examine his 2014 Ford truck.

During the search, a CBP narcotics-detection canine alerted officers to the back of the truck’s cab. Officers found multiple packages of cocaine worth almost $476,000.

Officers arrested the suspect for narcotics smuggling. He was turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.

CBP officers also seized the truck and drugs.
