Storms in La Paz County cause damage

QUARTZSITE, Az- Almost a thousand people in La Paz County are without power due to storms in the area.

Cells that showed hail started developing around 2 p.m. Thursday. Shortly after, a Flash Flood Warning was issued for the area that will last until close to 9 p.m. There were several road closures in the area, including a lane on I-10. Main Street in between Kofa Avenue and Quartzsite Boulevard was also closed after a power line fell down. Buildings in the area were also damaged.

Power is expected to be restored by 7:30 p.m.
