Each day the world-wide web seems to give birth to a new application; some are able to cover up blemishes and even distort your face. When FaceApp was introduced to the world, the world greeted it with glee; it’s filters gave users the ability to take or add years to a picture with just a swipe of a finger and even show users what they would look like if they were the opposite sex.

But, their recent filter has received a negative response from users; the company has added an “Ethnicity Filter” which allows users to change their skin color. The filter darkens or lightens a pictures skin tone and changes its hair and eye color.
