Military Matters: Desert Southwest key to future of weaponry

The latest report from Russell Collins a leader in Aviation and High-Integrity solutions for both commercial and military concepts is showing their latest testing as promising. The company has been testing their GPS receivers in a variety of munitions.

What this means on the battlefield is the weapon can receive updated information via satellite and in turn alter is course in order to strike more accurately. According to Russell Collins recent tests at Yuma Proving Ground have been successful. The testing has been a joint effort between the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force.
