Amberly’s Place Winners pick up prizes

This year the winner of the grand prize, a trip to Hawaii was Lizbeth Marquez and if it wasn’t for her passionate young daughter the trip to paradise may not have happened. Lizbeth tells us that as she and her family watched the news on Wednesday night, her daughter watched as a report on the need for the public’s participation was aired. Her daughter then begged her to buy tickets to help the non-profit.

The next day, Lizbeth remembered that her daughter wanted some tickets, so she went online and bought three tickets. The contest was later that day and her daughter glued to the set heard her mother’s name and according to Lizbeth ran around telling everyone. Lizbeth tells us she plans on taking her children to Hawaii.

Proceeds from the fundraiser go towards helping victims of abuse in Yuma County.
