Local hospitals face concerns after Health Care Bill passes House

The House has approved a Health Care Bill that would if passed repeal and replace Obamacare. Many people are showing concerns over the change.

Under the Affordable Care Act under the affordable care act more than six million people have signed up for Obama Care. Some of those getting health care for the first time with a pre existing condition. Now with a new plan the Chief Executive Officer of Yuma Regional Medical Center says it would be an extraordinary event for the hospital. Causing concerns over helping people who may not stay insured. Leaving the hospital high and dry if the patient doesn’t have money.

“What the proposed replacement would reduce the number of medical beneficiaries. It would reduce the number of those that have insurance now. So the amount of un-compensated care that the hospitals would be providing would basically double, triple, maybe even more than that,” says Robert Trenschel C.E.O. of Y.R.M.C.

Trenschel says regardless of the changes the hospital will stay prepared. For now the Health Care Bill will head to the House.
