An invitation to President Donald Trump from the Center of the World
An invitation from the “Center of the World” is calling for President Donald Trump to visit.
It’s the first time a guest has ever been invited since the monument was created in 1985.
The letter begins with,”Dear Mr.President, a most cordial,symbolic,and powerful invitation.Stand at the official “Center of the World” -it is in America.”
At a time where the nation feels so divided, Mayor Jacques Andre Istel,believes inviting President Trump is the right decision.
“Perhaps the best known person in the entire world? So,obviously a visit to this region would be helpful.I believe that President Trump wants unity and I’m confident that if he were to come to this area it would increase unity.”
Istel entered the United States from France at the age of three. He served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean War and later created the “Center of the World” in 1985.The iconic pyramid is now part of an exhibit with the “Museum of Granite” and “The Church on the Hill”.
“Set by law and international law it is dedicated to the children of the world.”
However it’s the center of the world that could be the spot to move forward.An attraction that has brought visitors around the world.
“Over Seventy five thousand person have done before me.”
Istel is hoping for President Trump to do the same.
“Absolutely In fact I’ve never invited anyone to the official of the center of the world so we might as well start, appoint your next negotiation and sign at the center of the world.”

Dear Mr. President:
STAND at the OFFICIAL CENTER OF THE WORLD it is in America!
Set by law and international law,
it is dedicated to the children of the world. (Last two facts omitted in an inadequate NY Times article.)
From the bronze plaque, a few feet away,
you will honor the engraved names of 4 6 17 Marines
who died in the Korean War.
A few more steps and you will
dedicate the new granite tribute to NASA
on the Hall of Fame of Parachuting.
A few more, passing the granite “History of the United States of America” , refl ect on advice from Jeff erson
and consider ” the most dangerous food is…”
en passing “History of Humanity” monuments, think of future scholars
pondering the central Rosetta Stone.
A few more steps up to the Church on the Hill, (we built the “Hill of Prayer”), no sermon just sing “Onward Christian Soldiers..” and thank God for our many Blessings.
