Vandal causes $28K in damages to home

Yuma Police Department officers are looking for one or more people suspected of vandalizing a home in two separate incidents, causing about $28,000 in damage.

The first incident is believed to have happened between Saturday 6 p.m. and Sunday 10:30 a.m. in the 1600 block of S. 45th Avenue. The suspect kicked in the garage side door and made extensive damage to the inside of the home.

The second incident is believed to have taken place some time between Monday 6 p.m. and Tuesday 5:30 p.m. The suspect spray painted the home with gang-affiliated graffiti on walls.

Officers say they don’t have any information on the suspect or suspects. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the YPD at (928) 373-4700 or 78-Crime to remain anonymous.
