Border Patrol agents rescue special needs man

A special needs man was rescued after wandering off from his parents.

El Centro Sector Border Patrol agents made the rescue Thursday evening. Border Patrol agents spoke with his parents after finding out the man had walked away from their car, while they were inside a gas station. His parents were looking for him for over 20 minutes before agents found out.

The man was found shortly after without injuries.

“Our infrastructure and technology plays a crucial role in enforcing our nation’s borders, however in situations like these they can also be very beneficial,” said Rodney S. Scott, Chief Patrol Agent of the El Centro Sector, “Situations like these can escalate to very dangerous outcomes if not for the quick response of Border Patrol Agents.”
