Crews Respond to Car in Canal
On Monday evening just after eight, emergency crews with Rural Metro Fire responded to the area of Avenue 1E and County 14th for a report of a car in a canal. Once on scene first responders removed the driver from the truck and transported them to the hospital. Yuma County Sheriff’s Office reported that the driver had lost control and crashed into a nearby irrigation canal. Investigators suspect that alcohol may be a factor, but will have to wait until test results return.
