Yuma County almost finished with counting ballots

Officials with the Yuma County Elections Office say they are planning a release of election result updates on the following days at 5:00 p.m.:

Monday, November 14 , 2016

Tuesday, November 15 , 2016

Thursday, November 16 , 2016

Yuma County Communications Director Kevin Tunell said the office continues to process early ballots around 3,000, but will be done with those by Monday. The tabulation board will tabulate those ballots Monday and Tuesday evenings. The write-in board will begin tomorrow morning and likely work through Wednesday to complete its review.

Tunell said there are still approximately 1,400 provisional ballots to be verified at the Recorder’s Office, and that review should be complete by Wednesday . Those ballots determined to be valid will be tabulated by Thursday .

In short, all of the ballots should be tabulated by Thursday in time for that release. Yuma County is still on schedule to canvass results on November 21 at the Yuma County Board of Supervisors meeting.
