Somerton crash sends two to the hospital
A crash near Somerton sent two people to the hospital Thursday afternoon.
Officials with the Somerton Cocopah Fire Department said Rural/Metro was already on scene when they assisted them. Somerton ambulance took one person to the hospital. Rural/Metro ambulance took another person to the hospital. One patient said he had pain in his leg and in the right rib cage area.
Firefighters said three people were involved in the crash.
The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office said the area was cleared by late afternoon. There were no road closures in place.
