New detour to come at 16th St. and 4th Ave.
The construction on 16th Street and 4th Avenue will be getting an update soon.
Starting Monday, First Avenue will be closed from 16th Street to 16th Place. The detour route will be Arizona Avenue. The closure is due to a waterline installation that will take approximately three weeks to complete.
“It is going to be a big improvement to 16th Street and 4th Avenue to include more lanes, but for right now the project is underway and slated to finish in Spring of 2017,” said Lucy Valencia who works for the city of Yuma.
