Voter Registration deadlines fast approaching

With the election less than a month away, Arizona and California residents are running out of time to register to vote.

Arizonans have until midnight on Monday, while California residents have until October 24th.

In such a heated race, every vote counts especially after results from the August primaries show bleak turnouts for Imperial and Yuma counties.

In Yuma county, out of 78,020 registered voters only 22% showed up to vote, casting 17,438 ballots. Meanwhile, in Imperial County, out of 66,800 registered voters only 35% voted with 23,897 ballots counted.

On November 8th voters are not only choosing the next President of the United States but also electing state-wide representatives and deciding on propositions, which include questions on the legalization of recreational marijuana and increasing the minimum wage.
