IMPERIAL COUNTY, Calif. – Tomorrow is Coffee with a Cop and various agencies in Yuma and Imperial counties will be taking part in the national campaign.

“Coffee with a Cop is a nation-wide event in which we are participating in tomorrow. And this is important, why? Because it’s going to allow the sheriff’s office to establish a better partnership with the public,” said Lieutenant Jimmy Duran, ICSO.

The Sheriff’s department is inviting the community to six different locations:

1078 Dogwood, Heber CA, 92249

Alamo Restaurant 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM

Holtville City Hall 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM

121 W. 5th Street, Holtville, CA 92250

Niland Community Center 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM

“A lot of times the public only gets to see us in enforcement mode. We want them to see the human side of law enforcement, we want them to know that here is a human behind every badge and that they feel comfortable when approaching or reporting any type of activity to an officer,” added Duran.

And if mornings aren’t a good fit for you, The El Centro Police Department will also be taking part in the event, they are inviting the public to meet their officers at Target from 6 pm to 9 pm.

The Yuma Police Department will meeting with the public at Brownie’s Cafe from 6 am to 10 am tomorrow.
