Time capsule is opened after 25 years

Valley Horizon Elementary School opened a 25 year old time capsule with students and teachers present, during an assembly.

The time capsule was buried back when the school was built in 1991. Today a former teacher, Mrs. Huff Meyer did the honors of digging it up and showing what it contained. Two of her former students who were part of the project in 1991 were also present. Inside the capsule were newspapers, pictures, music notes and letters from students.

The current principal, Ana Noriega, invited each class grade to add something special to a new time capsule. Some students added pictures while others added logos and a brand new t-shirt.

The new time capsule will be opened in 2041.
