Robert Cuen back behind bars Friday night

Robert Cuen is back behind bars 10 days after a warrant was issued for his arrest for not showing up to face his sentence in Yuma County Superior Court.

Cuen was booked into the Yuma County Adult Detention Center by Yuma Police close to 10 p.m. Friday night.

He was supposed to be sentenced for pointing a gun at his ex-girlfriend’s face and then trying to flee in a car in March.

The former fugitive was also waiting to be sentenced for drug and weapons charges dating back to May.

While not behind bars, Cuen was named a suspect in an October shooting that sent a 25-year-old man to the hospital.

It was revealed in the courtroom on November 5, Cuen was out of custody on aggravated assault and weapons charges because he was working on getting drug treatment prior to his sentencing.
