YPD: No THC in Halloween candy

Yuma Police now say they found no THC in the Halloween candy eaten by a local toddler last week.

The child’s parents took the 3-year-old to the hospital last Thursday night after the toddler’s pupils became dilated. They say the child was also lethargic and acting strangely.

Officers discovered an unwrapped gummy fish, similar to those used for cannabis edibles, in the child’s Halloween candy bag.

Testing has now revealed the candy was not tainted with any illicit drugs or harmful substances.

Police offer no explanation for the changes in the child’s behavior.
