Time to change your clocks again, but not for Arizona
Daylight saving time ends and clocks ” will fall back ” an hour Sunday, but not for Arizona.
ABC 15 News in Arizona reports November 3, 2019, maks the end of Daylight Saving time for most of the United States. However, Arizona does not observe Daylight Saving Time ( DST) and has not done so for the past 40 years.
So why doesn’t Arizona change? According to ABC 15, a lot of it has to do with the weather.
The history of daylight saving is tied to energy conservation. Meaning that switching to DST in the summer means more sunlight at night. According to the U.S. Government, that leads to energy and fuel savings.
DTS started on Sunday, March 1, 2019 , and begins again on March 8, 2020 , ABC 15 reported.
