Yuma rollover crash leaves 80-year-old and 8-month-old boy injured

A rollover crash in Yuma sent four people to the hospital including an 80-year-old driver and an 8-month-old boy.

According a press release by the Yuma Police Department, on Thursday, October 3 , 2019, at approximately 6:55 p.m., Yuma Police officers responded to a vehicle collision with a rollover that occurred in the 1500 block of South Arizona Avenue. A copper colored 2017 Chevy Equinox was exiting the driveway in the 1500 block of S. Arizona Avenue when it was struck by a gray 2007 Ford F150 pickup truck that was traveling north bound. The impact caused the Chevy Equinox to spin and roll over onto its roof, trapping the driver inside.

The 80 year old driver of the Equinox was safely removed from the vehicle and transported to YRMC with unknown injuries. A 25 year female driver, an 18 year old female passenger and an 8 month old male from the gray F150 were transported to YRMC with minor injuries.
