BREAKING NEWS: Storm leaves portions of Yuma in the dark

A Powerful thunderstorm leaves nearly 13-thousand homes and businesses in the dark.

The storm hit the Yuma area just before seven Monday night. A short time later, homes and businesses lost electricity

Arizona Public Service says a major power line went down during the storm. It hopes to have the lights back on my 11pm .

The outage extends all across Yuma County. The Foothills is most impacted. More than 4,000 homes and businesses there currently have no electricity.
