SLPD: Two men arrested after barricade

Guns were drawn and commands could be heard for hours over a loudspeaker near Torres Street between Rangel Avenue and Cabello Avenue.

The San Luis Police Department ( SLPD ) has confirmed two men were arrested.

News 11 cameras were rolling as both suspects exited the home. After the two suspects exited, Border Patrol’s tactical team threw tear gas into the home, while searching for a potential third suspect.

One woman who lives nearby said she woke up to multiple gunshots around 7 a.m. However, gunshots have not yet been confirmed by SLPD .

SLPD said there are no known injuries at this point.

Officers are still processing the scene.
