Burned body discovered in El Centro
El Centro firefighters make a gruesome discovery while putting out a trash can fire. They find the charred remains of a human body.
Firefighters got reports of a fire along the railroad tracks on South 2nd Street just after seven Tuesday morning.
They doused the flames only to discover a man’s charred remains. Investigators say he was burned beyond recognition.
At this point El Centro police officers and detectives have few clues at to his identity or to the circumstances surrounding his death.
