Robbery suspect runs from El Centro Police

Officers from El Centro Police Department captured a 22-year-old robbery, burglary, and auto theft suspect on Thursday.

Police say that at about 2 p.m. the suspect, who was also wanted for a violation of probation, was spotted in the area of the 500 block of Holt Ave in El Centro. The residence the suspect was believed to be in was approached by several officers. The suspect, who is an El Centro resident, was said to have left the location in an unknown direction.

The surrounding area was searched and it was later on in the day when the suspect was located again. El Centro police say the suspect ran from officers upon contact.

Another search of the area was made where the suspect attempted to make a run, however was caught and arrested, then turned over to personnel from the Imperial County Probation Department.
