Fisherman finds dead body in Welton Canal in SLRC

A dead body was found floating in the waters of Welton Canal in San Luis Rio Colorado, Mexico., by a fisherman on August 12.
Tribuna de San Luis said the fisherman called the police about seeing human remains in the water at the height of the Cienega del Golfo de Santa Clara. By the time police got to the scene, it was too late to find the body.
Authorities located and transferred the body the next day to the funeral home for corresponding legal purposes.
Tribuna de San Luis reports that due to the state of decomposition, the cause of death is unknown.
Reports said no one claimed nor identified the body, leaving authorities to deposit the body in an area with other unidentified bodies.
