House fire in El Centro leaves one injured, and family dog dead
A structure fire destroyed a home and left the family pet deceased in El Centro Tuesday evening.
The fire happened on Mc Donal Street in El Centro. A mother, son, and dog all lived in the home.
The son arrived after the fire to find his home destroyed. His mother was injured and airlifted to a hospital. The extent of her injuries are unknown.
El Centro Fire Department say the dog died in front of the house because he didn’t want to leave the area, and eventually became caught by the fire.
