Residents in Yuma in disbelief following recent mass shooting attacks

The nation is still mourning over the recent mass shooting attacks that took place last weekend in El Paso and Dayton, that claimed the lives of dozens and injured several others.

This tragedy has shocked the world leaving thousands in disbelief including those in the Yuma community.

” It was sad and hard to read the headlines in the news and hear the stories of those who lost family members, and we don’t know if that could happen here, ” said Maria Santos, a local resident.

Another resident claimed the intentions behind the attack in El Paso was a direct correlation with President Donald Trump’s remarks towards the Latino community.

” This is not what a leader should be doing, especially a leader of this nation, we are so diverse, our history is immigration, we started with immigration, ” said Ora Anderson, a local resident.
