A success story from inside the juvenile justice center

A 15-year-old who was once in the juvenile detention system is now on the other side impacting today’s youth.

Grant is now walking the halls as a supervisor for the Yuma County Juvenile Justice Center (YCJC).

Tim Hardy the Director of the YCJC was his probation officer 18 years ago. Hardy believed in Grant and shaped him into the person he is today.

Being on the other side of the system is rewarding for Grant as he sees where he once was and helps other juveniles change their lives around.

But the road getting here was not easy. Grant faced multiple challenges throughout his time behind bars.
