Police report allegations involving Calexico councilwoman now handled by Attorney General’s Office
Imperial County District Attorney office said the report containing allegations involving Calexico councilmember Rosie Fernandez was referred to the California Attorney General to avoid any actual conflict of interest or appearance from Fernandez’s work on District Attorney Otero’s 2018 re-election campaign.
The District Attorney stated any reports regarding the July 6 arrest of Fernandez by the California Highway Patrol will be forwarded to the Attorney General.
