San Diego Border Patrol intercepts felons back to back

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (KYMA, KSWT, KECY) - San Diego Border Patrol Officers at the San Ysidro port of entry intercepted two men with unrelated warrants within two days.

U.S. Customs and and Border Protection (CPB) Officers first came across Antonio Gonzalez, a 43-year-old Mexican citizen on November 28.

CBP offiers ran a search through their databases, confirming that Gonzales was a wanted felon.

Officers matched Gonzales to a warrant for sexual assault from the Madera County Sheriff's department, with a 1.2 million dollar bail.

The next morning, CBP officers intercepted Paul Pray, a 37-year-old U.S. citizen.

Officers ran a similar search, matching Pray to an active warrant for assault from the San Diego County Sheriff's department, with a 100,000 dollar bail.

Both were transported to the San Diego County Jail to await criminal proceedings.
