Cases in Sonora keep rising; 187 new cases, 4,963 statewide

HERMOSILLO, Sonora (KYMA, KECY)-The cases and the death toll in Sonora keep rising. Health officials report a total of 4,963 COVID-19 cases along with 417 deaths.

As of Sunday, 187 new cases have been confirmed along with 24 new deaths.

The new cases were confirmed in the following cities; Cajeme 46, Nogales 30, Hermosillo 29, Navojoa 21, San Luis Rio Colorado 19, Cananea 10, Guaymas 8, Magdalena 8, Santa Ana 3, Huatabampo 3, Gral. Plutarco Elias Calles 3, Empalme 3, Agua Prieta 2, Ures 1, Cucurpe 1.

The new deaths were confirmed in the following cities; Cajeme 9, Hermosillo 6, Navojoa 4, San Luis Rio Colorado 1, San Ignacio Rio Muerto 1, Etchojoa 1, Benito Juarez 1, Guaymas 1.

Since March 16, 8,950 patients have been tested, 3,987 patients have tested negative, 512 patients have been discharged, 3,561 patients show mild symptoms, 473 patients remain hospitalized, 104 patients are in stable condition, 307 patients are in serious conditions, and 62 patients are on ventilators.
