PHOENIX, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Firefighters are working to contain a brush fire burning north of Phoenix.

The Daisy Mountain Fire & Medical Department says the flames are currently threatening parts of Cave Creek. It came within 100 yards of some houses, and forced the evacuation of as many as 150 homes. None have been damaged so far.

Fire chief Brian Tobin asy hot and windy weather is making the fire challenging. About 400 firefighters are currently battling the blaze.
