Imperial County: The opening of some businesses

IMPERIAL COUNTY, Calif. (KYMA, KECY)-Under Governor Gavin Newsom's new guidelines, the County of Imperial authorizes the following business to open under Stage 2 (low risk) of the Roadmap to Recovery.

Effective immediately, the following businesses are now permissible and included in Stage 2 (Low Risk):

·       Pet Grooming

·       Laundromats, Dry Cleaners and other laundry services

·       Auto Repair Shops

·       Car Washes

·       Landscapers

·       Dog Walking

·       Residential and janitorial cleaning services

·       HVAC services

·       Appliance repair persons, electricians, plumbers and other mechanical tradespersons

·       Handypersons and general contractors

Personal care services that necessitate closer customer contact including hair salons, barbershops, nail salons, massage parlors, aestheticians and cosmetology, ear-piercing salons, and tattoo parlors will remain closed until further notice. 

The County of Imperial says that prior to reopening, businesses must perform a detailed risk assessment, and implement a site-specific protection plan, train employees on how to limit the spread of COVID-19.
