Homeowner claims suspect threatened him

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - A Yuma man is behind bars accused of burglarizing a Foothills home and threatening the man who lives there.

The Yuma County Sheriff's Office (YCSO) says it happened April 9, at a home in the 12600 block of E. 34th Place.

Deputies say the owner arrived home to find a man crawling out of a broken window. They say the suspect threatened to "kill" the burglary victim, then ran away from the house.

YCSO says they tracked down the suspect, 30-year-old Johnathan Cross, on Monday, and arrested him on one count of attempted burglary, one count of attempted theft, one count of criminal damage, and one count of threats.
