Trump touring Honeywell facility in Phoenix

PHOENIX, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - President Donald Trump touched down in Phoenix late Tuesday morning. The trip ends the President's White House confinement and signals a first step in re-opening the country in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

Air Force Once touched down at Sky Harbor International Airport around 11:40 Tuesday morning.

Trump's visit will feature a visit to Honeywell International. The aerospace defense contractor has diverted its efforts to producing millions of N95 respirator masks in support of healthcare and emergency workers.

The White House indicates the President will wear a mask during the tour. It also says medical teams will test anyone who comes into contact with the President for coronavirus.

Senator Martha McSally, and Representatives Paul Gosar and Debbie Lesko accompanied Trump on this flight from Washington, D.C. to Phoenix. He'll meet with Governor Doug Ducey upon his arrival.

Prior to the Honeywell tour, the President will participate in a roundtable discussion on supporting Native Americans.

No campaign events are scheduled for the President's time in the state.
